Brief Bio
Liliana Enciso obtained the Engineering degree in Systems and Master of Science in Engineering, with specialization in Networks and Intellectual and Computing Systems. Is Master in Technologies and Computer Science and a PhD in informatic by Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. She is a professor researcher of the Computer Science and Electronics Department (DCSE). Is reviewer in journals ISI, Scopus, Latindex and IEEE. Her research interests focus on safety and quality of service of Mobile Networks, Internet of Things, Smart services, Network Communications on Smart Environment, Mobile applications for education, Technology in education, Innovate Pedagogic, New learning Methodologies . In this areas of knowledge, she has published scientific papers in different international journals and conferences. Currently she is the Director of the Group Research Educational Technology Innovation of the University Technical of Loja.

SCOPE

The special session on Internet of Things and Smart Communities (ITSCO 2018) aims to be a premier venue to gather computer science researchers and practitioners who are contributing to and interested in linking Internet of Things and Smart Communities. This special session offers a meeting opportunity for academics and researchers belonging to the communities of Internet of Things and Smart Communities to discuss new joint areas.  It aims at identifying the key challenges faced by the Things and Smart Commnities (ITSCO) community, discussing the solutions and underlining the opportunities emerging from the interdisciplinary interactions.

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above.

PUBLICATIONS

After thorough reviewing by the special session program committee, all accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support - and submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI/ISI), DBLP, EI (Elsevier Engineering Village Index), Scopus, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Microsoft Academic.
SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/) and every paper on our digital library is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library .
A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer in a LNBIP Series book.
