SCOPE
The evolution and development of information systems and management systems for Web were and are clearly important in the last years and at present. In addition, the complexity and needs of higher quality of this kind of system are growing. Consequently, advanced mechanisms are needed to improve the development of these systems and improve the quality of whole process. Research groups and universities have worked in proposing new methods, techniques and tools to achieve these goals. Model-driven engineering (MDE) is a well-known paradigm to be used applying advanced techniques (Especially in web environments where this paradigm is known as MDWE). In the last year is being widely used in this topic. This workshop is oriented to offer a site to discuss about advanced techniques, new tendencies, experiences of MDE applied on Web environments, including advances in tool support and enterprise experiences.
Relevant topics include (but are not limited to):
- Advanced MDE for Web information system development
- Advanced MDE for Web information system design
- Advanced MDE for testing support
- Advanced MDE for cost reduction
- Advanced MDE for quality assurance
- Advanced MDE for web information system development
- Advanced MDE for business process management

PUBLICATIONS
After thorough reviewing by the workshop program committee, all accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital support.
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/).
SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/) and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS (to special issue of JWE )
Best papers related to Web Engineering will be proposed to be published in a special issue in the
Journal of Web Engineering (JWE) (JCR impact factor 0.361). In order to assure the quality of these extended versions, all these extended papers will be newly reviewed by a single blind review process.
The Journal of Web Engineering aims to provide a forum for advancing the scientific state of knowledge in all areas of Web Engineering. Web Engineering is the scientific discipline that studies the theory and practice of constructing Web-based systems and applications. This includes theoretical principles and systematic, disciplined and quantifiable approaches towards the cost-effective development and evolution of high-quality, ubiquitously usable Web-based systems and applications. It fundamentally concerns the technology which enables the construction of Web applications. Web Engineering, while rooted in Computer Science and Engineering, draws from a diverse range of other disciplines, such as information science, information systems, management and business, among others.
