Brief Bio
Hamida Seba is an associate professor at University Lyon1, France. She got her PhD degree from University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC, France) in 2003. She is member of the Graphs, Algorithms and Multi-Agents (GRAMA) research team of the LIRIS research lab. Her research focuses on graph based modeling and algorithms and their applications in networking, matchmaking, and Information discovery and analysis.

SCOPE

Several web objects and applications are modeled by graphs: web service process models, web social networks, XML documents, ontologies for different knowledge domains, etc. The management of these objects involves parsing, searching and comparing the corresponding graphs. So, graph comparison is in the heart of many interactions we daily have with the web, beginning from a simple search with a browser.
This special session aims to provide a forum for presenting and discussing research results and applications in the domain of information discovery in the web that use graph modeling.
We are interested by the use of graph parameters, structural models and structural similarity measures (graph colorings, graph kernels, graph embeddings, etc.) for solving web search problems and enhancing information discovery and retrieval techniques within the web.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- graph based tools for Information retrieval in the web
- structural web service matchmaking
- structural similarity measures for XML documents
- graph parameters for social networking
- schema matching,
- graph based modeling,
- ontology matching,
- resource discovery and matching for semantic web,
- query languages for web object discovery
- graph matching and indexing
