SCOPE
The special session Social recommendation in information systems (SRIS) aims at gathering researchers working on the category of social recommendation in recommender systems. The session offers an opportunity to academic and industry researchers to discuss challenges and presenting solutions to such systems.
Through recommendation users, systems, …, aim at predicting what can be better and not yet considered while filtering information. During recommendation phase, items or resources that are close to those already used by users can be recommended. The sharing of preferences or tastes between users can be a basis for recommending resources to users or users to other users, depending on the domain activity.
Specially, within the social recommendation resources such as web pages, web sites, news, people, communities, can be of a great interest and suggested to the user by the mean of social information.
Relevant topics include the following and are not limited to:
- Services for social recommendation
- Social services for recommendation
- Ontologies for social recommendation
- Users, resources, tags, and ratings to provide recommendation
- Frameworks for user recommendation
- Data sparsity with social networks for recommendation
- Privacy management during recommendation

PUBLICATIONS
After thorough reviewing by the special session program committee, all accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital support - and submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI/ISI), DBLP, EI (Elsevier Engineering Village Index), Scopus, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Microsoft Academic.
