Special Sessions

Special sessions are very small and specialized events to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme or consisting of the works of some particular international project. The goal of special sessions (minimum 4 papers; maximum 9) is to provide a focused discussion on innovative topics. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference, and on digital support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The proceedings are submitted for indexation by DBLP, Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index, EI and SCOPUS.

Scope

The evolution and development of information systems and management systems for Web were and are clearly important in the last years and at present. In addition, the complexity and needs of higher quality of this kind of system are growing. Consequently, advanced mechanisms are needed to improve the development of these systems and improve the quality of whole process. Research groups and universities have worked in proposing new methods, techniques and tools to achieve these goals. Model-driven engineering (MDE) is a well-known paradigm to be used applying advanced techniques (Especially in web environments where this paradigm is known as MDWE). In the last year is being widely used in this topic. This special session is oriented to offer a site to discuss about advanced techniques, new tendencies, experiences of MDE applied on Web environments, including advances in tool support and enterprise experiences.
