Associations, Federations and Special Interest Groups

Aware of the importance of international cooperation for the advancement of science, INSTICC works closely together with several other national and international associations and is proud to welcome them as partners in its activities or to arrange initiatives in cooperation with them.

While several forms of partnership are welcome, INSTICC places special value in "Technical Co-Sponsorships", by means of which both associations support each other from a scientific perspective for their mutual benefit. Additionally, in this case, members of partner organizations benefit from the same registration conditions as INSTICC members.

The Object Management Group (OMG®) is an international, open membership, not-for-profit computer industry standards consortium. Founded in 1989, OMG standards are driven by vendors, end-users, academic institutions and government agencies.

Workflow Management Coalition

Founded in 1993, the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) is a global organization of adopters, developers, consultants, analysts, as well as university and research groups engaged in workflow and BPM. The WfMC creates and contributes to process related standards, educates the market on related issues, and is the only standards organization that concentrates purely on process. The WfMC created Wf-XML and XPDL, the leading process definition language used today in over 80 known solutions to store and exchange process models. XPDL is a process design format for storing the visual diagram and all design time attributes.

The ERCIS - European Research Center for Information Systems - is an international network of scientists, conducting cooperative research in the field of Information Systems.

Tunisian Association of Artificial Intelligence (ATIA-Tunisia)

Founded in 2005, the Tunisian Association of Artificial Intelligence (ATIA-Tunisia), is a nonprofit scientific society that aims at promoting research in the Artificial Intelligence field. ATIA also aims at increasing public understanding of artificial intelligence.

Moreover ATIA is devoted to make, create and facilitate interactions between industry and university.

Major ATIA activities include:
- Organizing and Co-organizing national and international conferences in the field of AI.
- Increasing and promoting the use of AI by the decision makers.
- Increasing public understanding of artificial intelligence, improving the teaching and training of AI in Tunisia.
- Cooperating with similar associations, promoting exchange experiences.

ATIA includes approximately 200 members comming from various institutions from all Tunisia. ATIA has organized/co-organised/sponsorized many scientific conferences at national and international levels.

Web Intelligence Consortium (WIC)

Web Intelligence (WI) has been recognized as a new direction for scientific research and development to explore the fundamental roles as well as practical impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (e.g., knowledge representation, planning, knowledge discovery and data mining, intelligent agents, and social network intelligence) and advanced Information Technology (IT) (e.g., wireless networks, ubiquitous devices, social networks, wisdom Web, and data/knowledge grids) on the next generation of Web-empowered products, systems, services, and activities. It is one of the most important as well as promising IT research fields in the era of Web and agent intelligence.
